  Purchased mattress and mattress foundations in January 2017. Still have not received mattress foundations after many excuses for months now. I purchased a Kingsdown mattress from the Backlick Rd location in Alexandria in January 2017. The sales rep recommended the Juliet model, which is 14 inches thick. I mentioned to the sales rep that it would be too tall and my wife wouldn't like that the mattress with foundations would end up being taller than our nightstands. The sales rep then recommended "bunkie" boards, which are only 2" thick. I said that would work, but I was worried about the warranty since the bunkie boards are not made by Kingsdown. She called her regional manager, Carl (or Karl), and he told her they would stand behind the warranty, so I said OK. I was told the bunkie boards would be a special order and would take 3 - 4 weeks, but that they could deliver the mattress within 3 days of me ordering, so I went ahead with the order. Fast forward to April and I still had not heard from the store, so I called and was told that my order could not be found. I was finally put in contact with the regional manager, Carl, and he told me the order was accidentally never submitted. He apologized and told me he would put the order in and within 3 - 4 weeks I would have the bunkie boards. So finally, in May he calls and schedules the delivery. Well, the delivery guys get to my house and tell me the bunkie boards are broken. I call Carl to notify him and he tells me there is no way that could have happened because he inspected them that same morning at the warehouse. Long story short, obviously, the delivery guys broke them and blamed it on the manufacturer. Carl then promises he will submit another special order request and they would arrive in 2 - 3 weeks. Well, it's been 6 weeks now and Carl just says he doesn't know when they will come, but they will come soon. It's been 6 months and I still don't have the mattress foundations. I honestly can't believe how many times this company has dropped the ball. It is extremely frustrating, and Carl refuses to refund me. Carl keeps blaming the manufacturer. I don't care who is to blame. All I know is that I paid over $2500 for an incomplete mattress set and it has been 6 months.
